Transforming
Concepts of a World-Class Organization (WCO) Survey:
The
concepts in this survey are commonalities for both private and public
sector organizations that tend to produce excellent performance over
time. Under each broad concept are specific practices that allow the
concept to flourish. |
|
Quality
Concepts (QC) Survey:
Quality is a nebulous term that is hard to
define but easy to recognize when it is practiced. This survey includes
concepts and practices that reflect the level of quality present
throughout all levels in any organization. |
|
Test Support and Deterrent Analysis:
Test scores are
commonly used to evaluate the quality of educational programs or to
compare individuals or groups from one testing point to another to
assess “growth.” If the scores do not support what we hope to see, a
common conclusion is that some limitations must exist within the
instructional program that require ‘fixing.” When educators draw
this conclusion, they are assuming that the only variable that affects
test scores is program quality. This, however, is not the case. This
survey assesses six factors that affect test scores. |
What Works in Schools:
This instrument assesses
perceptions about the performance of a school based on 11 factors
associated with the largest student achievement gains as reported in
educational research studies. The results of the survey will help to
pinpoint the most likely areas that will need to be addressed to
increase student achievement in a school or district. The complete What
Works in Schools survey includes three parts.
Part 1: School-Level Factors
Part 2: Teacher-Level Factors
Part 3: Student-Level Factors
Note: Although each part may be administered separately, the
three parts are considered as one instrument. |
